Veteran Cargo Operations Manager to Lead

3, 2008): Mercury Air Cargo, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary
of Mercury Air Group, Inc., announced today that Pierre Payette
has been appointed Director of Cargo, Quebec for Mercury/Excel
Air Cargo. Payette will be responsible for overseeing Mercury/Excel’s
air cargo handling operations in Montreal and Mirabel in Quebec,
Canada. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in air cargo operations
with Air Canada and Canadian Airlines International. Payette will
be based at Mercury’s newly constructed and just opened
43,000 square foot cargo handling facility at Montreal-Mirabel
International Airport. Previously, Payette worked for Mercury
at Toronto Pearson International Airport and prior to that held
senior positions with Air Canada in Toronto.

veteran of cargo operations in Canada. He has strong leadership
qualities and long term relationships with the airlines and freight
forwarders that serve Montreal-Mirabel. Pierre will provide the
stewardship of our Canadian operations for our future growth within
Quebec and Canada," said John Peery, Vice President of Cargo
Operations at Mercury Air Cargo, Inc.
While with Air Canada, Payette
held senior level positions in Toronto, including: Director of
Cargo Operations, Director of Baggage Operations, Manager of Cargo
Operations and Manager of Customer Service and Import Operations.
At Canadian Airlines he served as Manager of Cargo Services, Manager
of Safety & De-icing and Manager of Terminal Operations.
