Mercury CEO & Consul General of China Meet

April 1, 2009: Joseph A. Czyzyk, Chairman & CEO of Mercury Air Group, Inc., recently hosted a luncheon for Ambassador Zhang Yun, Consul General in Los Angeles for the People’s Republic of China. Mr. Czyzyk is pictured presenting Ambassador Zhang with an AVG Flying Tigers picture. Mercury was founded by three members of the legendary AVG Flying Tigers, who defended China at the outset of World War II.

“It was a pleasure to host Ambassador Zhang. He has impressive diplomatic background. During our meeting, we discussed ways to build bridges between the Los Angeles business community and China. I also enjoyed sharing our common bond through the AVG Flying Tigers,” said Czyzyk. They were joined at the luncheon by Gary Toebben, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
